Still without a cure, cancer has been one of the most expensive diseases involving its research for a cure. So far there are many advances in treatment, like medicines. Medicines has been improving as newer drugs emerge showing big differences on different kinds of groups of patients but most still hope for a cure.

Many of the cancer patients still feel frustration because according to an article in yahoo: “Cancer wins may be bigger than they seem”:

“Progress has always been slow for cancer treatment. New therapies are tested on people who are so sick and out of options that any extension of life is considered a success. A cure is not usually possible.”

Medical research is now basing their future actions according to past successes. Drugs that may build hope for patients and relatives. It is suggested to develop specialized solutions for some forms of cancer so that eventually there will be hope of creating something that will work.

The problem with such solutions is still the biggest one: money. There will be so much time and money involved before seeing any clarity, based on some experts.

While there are many miracle survivors of cancer, it is still best to have regular check-ups and support the wellness industry because cancer is something you do not want for every one you know. But while there is hope among us, cancer will eventually be cured someday through combined efforts of the medical industry.

Who would have thought that your home can say a lot in your health?

Weight issues depend on a lot of factors to a person’s life. First the habits of eating can start young and may or may not stay for the rest of the person’s life. With diet in relation to the location of your home, your diet can sometimes depend on what accessible source of food you have.

If you live in condo unit and have a lifestyle of every thing fast and convenient, you might choose food that will be more convenient for you, with or without regard to you health. That is why people who are too much busy may sometimes grab a sugar donuts and soft drinks without regard to fruits or vegetables.

But if you are the type who are really conscious about your health, there are many ways to have the “ideal” diet for you. You can have more space to grow your own vegetables and fruits, or may have more access to stores that will cater to your eating preferences.

Physical activities compliment a diet in living a healthy lifestyle. You might not always have an access to a gym or an aerobics class, but activities like walking and climbing may make or break your health.

There are safe neighborhoods with tight security that may promote walking or jogging for its residents. Safety is the first factor you should look into a neighborhood as to it will help you build a habit of walking around or exercising within the area for a long time, or maybe for the rest of your life.

The good thing about this is children will also develop the habit, because you do it. A family that is healthy together, lives longer.

The home is where your heart is, so take care of your home and your heart (or health for that matter) by planning where to live.

Most think that exercise is the way to loose the unwanted pounds. This kind of thinking can get so many people exercising too hard, too much and too fast that they tend to forget that the main things that we have to watch when losing the pounds is the things we eat.

So diet is the most important thing to think about when you want to lose excess weight. Exercise is the compliment to it, a way to develop the muscles needed for a better looking body or faster weight loss. Many studies will show that the more working the muscles are, the better and more efficient are the use of the calories in the body.

That is one way to be careful with exercise. With this kind of thinking it can help us to be less pressured to exercise so much, which in the end avoids so many injuries, especially for beginners.

Here are some tips that can help you prevent injuries and maximize your exercise time in the gym.

- warm up before you exercise. Warm ups should not necessarily mean cardio before workouts.

- have a regular visit to your physician especially if you workout, exercise or engage in any sport as a compliment to your healthy lifestyle.

- if it hurts or starts to burn, please stop. Consult your physician immediately.

Your lungs are one of the most used organs when you exercise, and based from the article “Health Tip: Help Prevent Exercise-Induced Asthma”, you have to make sure you exercise in a less polluted or non-polluted environment.

Here are some of the tips in the article:

- Wear a scarf across your mouth and breathe through your nose when exercising outside in cold, dry air.

- Avoid exercising when air pollution is high.

- Avoid exercising near lawns that have just been mowed.

- Always warm up at the beginning of your workout and cool down at the end.

There are some countries that have an overflow of nurses like the Philippines, but it seems the future is not all that doom and gloom as the need for nurses and other medical professionals increase with the demand of elderly health care.

There are some countries that have an overflow of nurses like the Philippines, but it seems the future is not all that doom and gloom as the need for nurses and other medical professionals increase with the demand of elderly health care.

There has been some demand in the changes in the training as medical education policies are seen to be placed back in the drawing board for review. This review includes the focus on the quality of training given to these medical workers to ensure that they can take care of the elderly needs.

According to medicalnewstoday.com in an article titled: Urgent Changes Needed to Prepare Doctors to Care for Aging America, medical training policies are reviewed for the increase of the quality of training the doctors have.

But what are these changes in particular? Still according to the article:

“To ensure a better trained physician workforce as the demand for geriatric care swells and the number of geriatric specialists shrinks, policy options proposed by the authors include:

· Increasing funding for geriatrics in medical schools

· Leveraging Medicare’s educational subsidy to strengthen geriatrics in residency and fellowship programs

· Requiring practicing physicians to complete geriatric continuing education credits in order to maintain their state licensures and Medicaid provider certifications”.

This alert has been conducted with the aging population of the baby boomers. With some studies show that most of the population that require health care are mostly from this generation.

The haste in reforms to medical trainings directed to the needs of the aging population may say about the future of the medical workers and the population as well. As there are more jobs in the industry, it also means the populous who are reaching in the late parts of their life would want to seek the doctor’s help for healthy years ahead.
