Medical transcription continues to be a vital role in the healthcare industry as demand for medical services grows. Medical transcriptionists review the audio procedure notes of physicians, transcribing them to type written documents for inclusion in official hospital records and keeping patient files up to date. Medical transcription can be performed from a hospital, from a medical transcription office, or even from home, making medical transcription one of the more popular non-clinical careers in the healthcare industry.
