About Medical Transcription Careers in Michigan

Medical Transcription is a necessary service to transcribe medical notes from doctors and various sources into readable notes to be available to consolidate for clinical access. The skills needed will be various word processing programs, reading x-rays, transcribing doctors notes, pathology reports, office visits, knowing medical terminology, taking dictation and reading any other pertinent medical reports. The average medical transcriptionist salary is about $33,000 in the state of Michigan. Low end is around $25,000 and $40,000 on the high end for related jobs. The more experience you receive, the better your salary will become.

Financial Aid is available through government application and other money could be available through individual colleges that you apply to in the form of grants. Most aid is first come first serve, so apply for aid as soon as you decide which program will be right for you.
